Tips for enjoying your school holidays
Here are some tips that we will give you to make the best use of upcoming holidays:
1. Imagine in advance your vacation as if you were living it almost in real life:
Remember that the brain does not differentiate between what is real and what it imagines, and know that we are happy to think in advance about what we will do. Imagine that you are on the way to a city you love, exploring new places, meeting new faces, living new experiences, dreaming that you are lying in a long chair, listening to music or screaming children playing in the pool or in the waves. The same goes for someone who plans to travel while browsing books, magazines and maps about the places he will visit in the coming days.
A simple representation in your inner cinema of a futuristic situation makes your brain work as if you are truly living it.
Holiday preparation can be an occasion to develop and gain new skills and knowledge. Travel abroad is prepared for it by learning the basics of the language that will enable you to communicate well with people.
2- Embark on the adventure:
Why not take a little risk on your holidays? Inside each of us hides an adventurer we do not know. do you doubt that? Try to give him life by voluntarily putting yourself into situations that require the use of your resources. For some it will be a campground that allows a different life experience, more primitive and closer to nature. For others, it will be a bike ride to explore new areas. Try to live unusual experiences, without too much of them, how not to spoil the fun, just enough for you to feel yourself that you are living a new experience.
Remember, it's good for your self-esteem when you put yourself on the line in a new environment to face the challenges of everyday life.
3- Allow yourself a moment of freedom:
On your vacation program, make sure you have the freedom to allow your mind to dominate the faces of your companions. Set aside periods of time for yourself only to reconnect with yourself, dig into your old dreams, and read a good book. Especially since throughout your time in school or at the workplace, your job forces you to be in constant contact with others in constant pandemonium, to meet their demands. Do not forget that someone else needs to give some of your time. This person is none other than you, yes you.
All successful people in their lives, no matter how busy they are, make time for themselves every day. The vacation is an important opportunity to start this healthy habit that you want to maintain afterward.
4- Forget your electronic life:
As you know, today it has become possible to work anywhere and at any time of the day and even at night, thanks to smart phones, computers, electronic boards, the many Wi-Fi networks and all these advanced means that can be like a leash on the neck of an animal. In addition, it prevents you from being in the present moment with the people who accompany you.
During vacation, stop texting, stop updating your Facebook page. Forget these tools or shut them off for a while, the world will continue to spin anyway as you gain more freedom and socialization.
And if you wake up at night and anxiety overwhelms you in the absence of electronic means and Wi-Fi to communicate with your virtual world, then perhaps the term addiction should now be part of your vocabulary. In this regard, I refer you to the saying: The phone is smarter than you.
